I SPY: Neighborhood Edition: Oriental Bay, Wellington

One of the first blogs I ever subscribed to is Little Miss Momma (or LMM). I love her blog as it's a mix of craft, lifestyle and general chit chat about her life. Although my blog has swayed towards fashion and crafting, I'd still like to share snippets of my life as those are the parts of other peoples' blogs that I enjoy reading (after I've finished checking for craft tutorials / outfits of the day of course!) ;)

LMM has started a photo series called I SPY. Each week she takes photos of a certain topic and encourages her readers to do the same. Well this week is the Neighbourhood Edition, so here's my neighbourhood!

If any of MY readers think this is a great idea and do the same, PLEASE let me know so I can check them out :D

I've lived in this apartment for two years and almost never go any further up the hill - so decided to have an explore one evening after work!

Going into unknown territory....

I love the wooden houses in NZ :)

Some gorgeous flowers halfway up the hill :)
Top of the path comes out to some fabulous houses with AMAZING views over Wellington
Views of Wellington poke out from every gap!

This is a cute church and contrasts greatly with the horrid apartment block next to it! That fits right in with a Butlins camp in the UK!!
One of the ferries that cross between the North and South Islands of New Zealand. We get a great view of the harbour from my house.
One did partake in a refreshment from this handy fountain!

When I was in LA I did the 'Hollywood Homes' tour (LOL) and this house reminds me of Keanu Reeves house!
A local school
We came across this little place - it's amazing! But we have no idea what it is!
It's down a random little path and opens out over the harbour

The grass was SO bouncy!
Who's that sunbathing!? The boyfriend!!
Back down the other side...
Towards the city...check out the ever present stream of joggers! I've seen them there in Gale-force winds, being whipped by water from the harbour!

As they say here: "You can't beat Wellington on a good day"! :D
