The end of a weekend in Noosa (and the lime blazer again!)

Hi all! Well you all had a peek of the lime blazer that I bought in Brisbane. I love it THAT much that I had to wear it out again on our last night in Noosa. :)

We went for a fantastic meal (and cocktails!) at bistro c, which was right on the beach. Fun!

My new lime blazer - you can't really see much else of the outfit in these pics so I wont bother listing them
Blazer, Dissh.

I wore my extensions again....
In the evening they blend pretty well. I've not worn them in daylight yet!

Before dinner we took a stroll to the backpackers that I'd stayed in last time. We didn't go in as I'm pretty sure we'd have looked out of place!
This was where we ate!
Right on the beach!

We had a lovely meal - go to bistro c if you're ever in Noosa!
Here's a sneak peek of one of the pairs of earrings I bought in Brisbane.
Skull earrings, Lovisa; Sunglasses, O'Neill.

And before we knew it it was time to head back to the airport. BOO!

Exploring Brisbane

Hi all. I am catching up with posts on my lunch break. I have three days left in work before I go to Wales for three weeks, and as you can imagine, I have a list of things to do as long as my arm! And having a broken laptop doesn't help!

A couple of weeks ago the bf and I popped off to Australia for a long weekend. We spent two nights in Brisbane and two nights in Noosa.

Here's what we got up to in Brisbane....

My suitcase had been neglected for a month!
As we fly so often we are gold Air NZ members and get to use the perks of the lounge - free bubbles and mags in this case!
Brisbane at night

Cocktails at a Turkish restaurant
This was a man-made beach in the city! Amazing!
I struggled to get a decent photo of the city hall...

The bf was a bit more determined than I was!

We hit the shops hard!

I really wanted this dress but it was too small. I'm gonna hunt it down online or just pick up a skirt and top and make my own version!
My goodies! I *heart* Aussie shops!
We went for Friday night drinks with my friend and her boss who were in Brisbane that weekend for business.
I wore my NEW LIME blazer, earrings and dress!
Cocktails on the riverfront :)
Brisbane was great. It rained all day on the Friday (our typical luck!!) but we spent most of the day in the shops so didn't mind too much ;)

Have you ever been to Brisbane?

I want: pink(ish) bags!

Hi all! How is your week going?
I am back from my break in Oz - I love Australia! It was a great break and I have pics to post later this week.

I have been catching up with your blogs, and every time I see the fabulous Francessca of Don't Call Me Fashion Blogger with THIS amazing handbag, I get handbag envy!

She always has the most fabulous shoes, bags, clothes - everything, but you probably know, that my favourite colour is coral. So this Proenza Schouler satchel is a winner for me!

It inspired me to have a nose around the internet for other leather coral bags yesterday and I found these two favourites:

Foley + Corinna Mid City Tote in coral leather.
This one folds over and has a cross body strap. Very handy. Love it. I found it here on endless.com. They also do a studded version - here.

Oryany Handbags Tinsley SatchelI
I know, I know, this isn't coral! But I still love it. And it would be so fabulous for work! It's also at endless.com.

What do you think? Do you ever get handbag envy?

Noosa Nights

Au revoir my friends, I am off on a wee jaunt (read: long weekend) to Australia with the better half. We are in work this morning (boo), finish at 12 and fly at 3! We head to Brisbane for two nights and Noosa for another two nights. Very exciting! Hoping for some warm(er) weather and some shopping in Brizzy!

I have been to Noosa before, a coupla years ago, with my BFF on a backpacking trip....
We liked to see ourselves as "flash packers" rather than "back packers"!

My bestie! Also mentioned here.
These huge earrings featured a few times on the trip. Jewellery essentials for a backpacking trip of COURSE!
We bussed from Cairns to Sydney on these babies. And they were fantastic!
We really enjoyed Noosa - sunshine + gorgeous beaches. We'd had our fair share of rain in the first week or so of the trip!

And played 'shithead' (a silly card game) with a few wines and a few randoms!
These were our drunk "poker faces". Don't ask!
PS notice the bling - I did not travel light!!
A midnight stroll on Noosa beach
 We encountered some wildlife....
There were TWO of these freaky spiders! We fled!!
A snake we encountered on a stroll. Thankfully it was dead!!
This trip was my first hostel experience and I'd not relished the idea!! But it was pretty entertaining.
This dude crashed into bed one night. Then rolled over and fell OFF the bunk beds!! Me and my BFF thought he was hilarious and NUTS!

So I look forward to this trip to Noosa!

DIY + Pink

Well things are exciting with my jewellery line Shh By Sadie at the moment!
There's a new gallery and boutique opening this weekend called Matchbox Studios and I have my own 'cube' within it.

Designers set out their cubes themselves, and so I was wracking my brains to think of a simple but cool way to display my jewellery.

And I came up with this:

I bought wooden letters 's' and two 'h' and sprayed them PINK!
This was the first time I'd ever used spraypaint and it was so much fun. And the colour was perfect!!

This is how they came out - just one coat of pink!

A test-run in the house
And the finished product set up at Matchbox!
I wanted to display things prettily, but without cluttering it all up. So I think this works quite well. There have been quite a few comments on my display on the Matchbox Facebook page already! Yay!

The shop has its launch party this Saturday. I am tres excited!!!!
What's your proudest DIY moment?
