The end of a weekend in Noosa (and the lime blazer again!)

Hi all! Well you all had a peek of the lime blazer that I bought in Brisbane. I love it THAT much that I had to wear it out again on our last night in Noosa. :)

We went for a fantastic meal (and cocktails!) at bistro c, which was right on the beach. Fun!

My new lime blazer - you can't really see much else of the outfit in these pics so I wont bother listing them
Blazer, Dissh.

I wore my extensions again....
In the evening they blend pretty well. I've not worn them in daylight yet!

Before dinner we took a stroll to the backpackers that I'd stayed in last time. We didn't go in as I'm pretty sure we'd have looked out of place!
This was where we ate!
Right on the beach!

We had a lovely meal - go to bistro c if you're ever in Noosa!
Here's a sneak peek of one of the pairs of earrings I bought in Brisbane.
Skull earrings, Lovisa; Sunglasses, O'Neill.

And before we knew it it was time to head back to the airport. BOO!

Noosa Sunshine Day One

Hi all, so yesterday I showed you what we got up to in in Brisbane. Noosa was a totally different experience - relaxing on the beach, reading and swimming.

We stayed at the Sheraton in Noosa
And pretty much had the pool to ourselves!

The bf is actually addicted to surfing.

Exploring Brisbane

Hi all. I am catching up with posts on my lunch break. I have three days left in work before I go to Wales for three weeks, and as you can imagine, I have a list of things to do as long as my arm! And having a broken laptop doesn't help!

A couple of weeks ago the bf and I popped off to Australia for a long weekend. We spent two nights in Brisbane and two nights in Noosa.

Here's what we got up to in Brisbane....

My suitcase had been neglected for a month!
As we fly so often we are gold Air NZ members and get to use the perks of the lounge - free bubbles and mags in this case!
Brisbane at night

Cocktails at a Turkish restaurant
This was a man-made beach in the city! Amazing!
I struggled to get a decent photo of the city hall...

The bf was a bit more determined than I was!

We hit the shops hard!

I really wanted this dress but it was too small. I'm gonna hunt it down online or just pick up a skirt and top and make my own version!
My goodies! I *heart* Aussie shops!
We went for Friday night drinks with my friend and her boss who were in Brisbane that weekend for business.
I wore my NEW LIME blazer, earrings and dress!
Cocktails on the riverfront :)
Brisbane was great. It rained all day on the Friday (our typical luck!!) but we spent most of the day in the shops so didn't mind too much ;)

Have you ever been to Brisbane?

Weekend Snapshots

Hi all, as you may know, I'm a big fan of Instagram (you can find me @sadiesadiesadie). Because of my addiction to this app I find myself snapping pics of pretty much everything I do!

Here are a few snaps of what I've been up to over the weekend, including attending the launch of Matchbox Studios on my lonesome!....
I brunched alone! The bf pretty much always makes breakfast / brunch on Saturdays but he was in Auckland, so despite waiting for my breakfast to arrive, by midday (yep, for reals, I was one lazy mare!) I was hungry enough to make my own ;)
PS how good is George Foreman  - grilled mushrooms are such a treat and all you need is a splash of balsamic vinegar!
I got my craft on. I made this necklace for myself with the plan of wearing it that night at the gallery launch I attended - alone!! - due to the bf being outta town. I did meet up with him afterwards when he came straight to town from the airport to meet me :)
The skull is huge! And the beads I bought whilst in Gay Paree

I wore this sick-as vintage jacket thing over a vest and leather-look leggings. I didn't wear the new necklace in the end!
I picked the jacket up a couple of weeks ago along with another vintage blazer that is yet to be collected from the dry cleaner - oops.

A sneak peek of some of the new designs I worked on over the weekend. I <3 them and have already decided to keep two for myself!
Chocolate nails matched the frosty weather we've been having.
I found this on the bench at the bus stop. A thimble! Really?!?!
And these are the accessories I ended up wearing - instead of the gigantor skull I'd made especially for the occasion. Ah well, I'm a fickle lady :)
Faux fur snood, ASOS thanks to my Mum; Vintage clutch, Recycle Boutique; Necklaces both Shh By Sadie :)
Have you ever attended an event alone? How'd it go?

What I wore: to a wedding in Mauritius

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE! I hope your week has been good to you!

So some of you may remember, back in January I went to Mauritius for ten days. The bf's brother AND sister both got married there - NOT to each other, and both on different days! :)

Here's what I wore to the first wedding - Chris' sister's.

What I took into consideration:
Heat = bad hair
Looking too overdressed (there were very few people there, let alone 'young people'
Being too hot in my outfit
Buying a summer outfit in the January sales in the UK!

So this is what I went with. I picked it up in the H&M sale for 15 pounds!

Dress, H&M; Vest (just seen), Florence and Fred; Wedges, Next; Clutch, Accessorize; Necklace, H&M Berlin; Sunglasses, O'Neill.
The bride and groom. She made her dress herself, from silk :)

The wedding party.
The groom and his best man!
I loved the aisle

Have a great weekend! I'm going for drinks with my friends after work and have the Mighty Mighty Market tomorrow - what wonderful things will  you be doing?

PS I have a lot of catching up to do with everyone's blogs - I haven't forgotten you and will be catching up over the weekend :)
