Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge: Headbands

Hi all, how is your week going? It's Thursday afternoon here and already the week is flying by!

Yesterday the bf's first guests for his conference arrived so he went out for dinner and drinks with them. A 'quick bite to eat' turned into him rolling in at 12.30am when I was tucked up in bed!!! I was NOT AMUSED and sent him to the couch! Hahaha. That was the first time I've ever done that, and I was surprised he (eventually) went! 

Have you ever done this, or am I the only psycho around here?! :)

Well yesterday was Wednesday wardrobe challenge and it was a really easy one for me - headbands! I love a headband (I must show you my extensive collection one day, not QUITE as impressive as Blair Waldorf's, but impressive nonetheless!)

As usual, here is the group photo from work!

YES my eyes are CLOSED!! And yes we all look deformed as we try and show off our headbands!

I wore a headband I made myself - I love it!

This is the lilac version (mine was a pastel blue headband instead of the lilac)

Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge: Bows

Hello allllll! How is your week going? It's Thursday here, and yesterday I survived stage two of my root canal treatment!!! So I am halfway there, it's just annoying it's spread out by one appointment per week (to avoid infection).

I've had a super busy few days...here's what I've been up to:

Doing NOTHING - I have become accustomed to staying at home in the evenings from when I had terrible toothache and now the bf can't shift me!!

Buying a DESIGNER DRESS! This deserves a post in itself, so watch out for that soooon!

FREELANCE work for a college in Melbourne. This is a great opportunity, but more work at the end of the day!

These are my Dorothy shoes - I LOVE them but they are slightly too big so don't come out often. So annoying!

Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge: Yellow

Hi all! Well - I survived my dental appointment....JUST! It was quite a traumatic experience (we're talking about a squeamish wimp here!!!!) but what was worse was the bill!!! OMG NZ is expensive for dental treatment! I have to have a total of four appointments for my root canal, at a total of $1500!! PLUS a crown within six months! That's double the price of the UK!! WOW! I'm also on antibiotics to sort out any infection.

Anyway - until next Weds (when I have appt. numero dos) I am trying to forget about it!

Yesterday was Wednesday Wardrobe Challenge (I mentioned this here) and the challenge was YELLOW. It was quite a tricky one as we're in WINTER here in NZ and most of my yellow clothing is summer-related. But the whole team joined in and it was a good laugh!

I wore one of the special edition t-shirts our College has released as I was being photographed for a promo photo that afternoon. I also thought it went nice with the yellow shrug and my fabulous flower headband.

I had the headband made for me through Etsy as I FELL IN LOVE with the original headband here:

When it arrived (in our summer) my boyfriend and his sister laughed!!! And it completely put me off it!! I know it's very much a 'statement' headband, but I've kind of lost my confidence in wearing it now and yesterday was the first time I'd ventured outside my bedroom with it on! (You will see I have two actually as the lovely Etsy lady made me two versions!). My colleague is wearing the other one as she likes flamboyant clothing as much as I do!!!! 

What do you all think? Have you ever had someone's opinion change yours?

Wardrobe Challenge Wednesday: Scarves

Today is Wardrobe Challenge Wednesday! I mentioned here that I've joined this clothes challenge group on Facebook. The last few challenges weren't quite 'me' so this is the first one I've done in a couple of weeks - who CAN'T manage the theme 'scarves'?!

The girls in work have also joined and they all wore their scarves today. It's great fun - you should join in too!

This is the THIRD time in a week that I've managed to wear the fur gilet that my Mum sent me! I LOVE it and it keeps me cosy which is useful as the weather has turned quite chilly lately!!

Wardrobe Challenge Wednesday

Wow - well that was an unexpected break from blogging - were any of you following the updates on Twitter? I was amazed at how many people were Tweeting about the Blogger crash around the world. It all seems to be up and running again now, but like many people I have lost a lot of my comments on the last few posts :( Sniff sniff. Nevermind!

This is just a quickie as in TWO HOURS I shall be patiently waiting to board my plane to Oz. G'day Melbourne!! Woohoo! And I still have a LOT of packing to do! :D

Here are the pics of Wardrobe Challenge Wednesday this week. This was my first time participating and it's good fun. My friend Teresa told me about it and anyone can join up via the Facebook group - have a look!

The theme was 'something you forgot you had' and it only came through at 10pm the night before! I had a rummage in the wardrobe and because for the last 12 months I have practically lived in dresses, it was quite quick for me to find a blouse, skirt and cardigan that I forgot I had. I matched it with some jewellery that was hidden away in my cupboard and hey presto - a quick outfit.

And here I am with a colleague in work who also took the challenge this week - don't we look matchy!! :D
