Announcing My Etsy Store!!

Hello, how has your weekend been? Mine has been very relaxing, despite the toothache!! I am going to try and get an appointment for the dentist one evening this week, as I can't live on back to back painkillers forever. I'd like to say a big thanks for all of your comments/advice - nothing is more miserable than toothache!!

So let's get onto more EXCITING things! This weekend I launched my Etsy shop!!!!!!!!

I have never tried anything like this before so it has been very scary and exciting.....but I've taken the plunge and will just see how things go and what sort of feedback I receive.

Hi all! How is your week going? It's Thursday here, and despite having had Monday off, it feels like it's been a REALLY long week. Don't you hate those kinds of weeks!?

What is making my week worse is the fact that I have been suffering from terrible toothache. (Sympathy is welcomed!!!!) It's my own fault, as I NEED to go to the dentist for a filling (and POSSIBLE ROOT CANAL) and it's the root canal possibility that is putting me off. Argh.

So instead of being my normal, smiley self

So I MUST make a dental appointment immediately/next week/erm.... Chewing on one side of my mouth isn't fun!!!

On a happier note, I made some more items for my Etsy shop last night!! Exciting! I am hoping to get it all up and running over the weekend. Thanks for all of your comments of support, I really appreciate them! :D

If ANYONE has any tips on great international supply shops (like on Etsy etc) please let me know!! I am looking for all sorts of jewellery findings as they're SO expensive here in NZ and that means I'd have to charge more for my items, which isn't something I want to do!

Also - have any of you lovely ladies ever had tooth drama?!? Hope it's not just me and my wimpy root canal fears!!

Wardrobe Challenge Wednesday: Scarves

Today is Wardrobe Challenge Wednesday! I mentioned here that I've joined this clothes challenge group on Facebook. The last few challenges weren't quite 'me' so this is the first one I've done in a couple of weeks - who CAN'T manage the theme 'scarves'?!

The girls in work have also joined and they all wore their scarves today. It's great fun - you should join in too!

This is the THIRD time in a week that I've managed to wear the fur gilet that my Mum sent me! I LOVE it and it keeps me cosy which is useful as the weather has turned quite chilly lately!!

Hello there! Yes, another weekend has gone by! This weekend it was Queen's Birthday weekend, so we had an extra day off. Which is funny, because we have the SAME Queen as the UK, but the UK doesn't get a Bank Holiday for Her Majesty's birthday! I guess that's one bonus about living down under :)

Today's post is a bit disjointed, but I wanted to share a few quick things with you.....

1. The boyfriend was away working last week and my new guilty pleasure became this:

Pretty Little Liars (I'm on season one, episode 11 already!!!! Hahaha). Never seen it before, and it is TOTALLY overacted, but I kinda love it :)

2. Today I was interviewed for my own job. Yup. My own job. I've been doing it for 18 months on and off, on a temporary contract, and today I became official!!! HOORAH - for the first time in over two years, I have a REAL JOB!

3. I am opening an Etsy shop!!! I am VERY excited about this, and also very scared. But what the heck, you only live once - so I am going for it. I have been like a little worker bee the last few days and hope to launch it in a week or so. 

4. After all of my weekends away lately the Weight Watchers diet has floundered, as did my gym routine. So today I am OFFICIALLY back on track, and am even celebrating my job success with a Weight Watchers cannelloni recipe!

5. I spent Sunday and Monday at this little bach (NZ holiday home slang) by the beach in a place called Foxton with friends. We had a very relaxed time, ate, drank and played a good old game of Monopoly (I came second!).

How funny is this place!?

Sydney Sights

Hello all! Well it's Friday evening and I've finished work for the Bank Holiday weekend! Woohoo!

The bf has been away for three days and should be home very shortly. We're both shattered so are looking forward to a quiet Friday night!

Sydney was hosting an event called Vivid - the city was lit up with all sorts of wonderful light displays!

FIVE of these gorgeous parrots visit my friends' balcony every day!!!!!

 

It went from this....

...to this in minutes!!! I ran SO fast!

And lost the handle off the umbrella I bought that day!!! I didn't dare go back for it in that rain!

So I used it as a good excuse to visit the Belgian chocolate cafe ;)
