And I am referring to my hair here!!
A couple of weeks ago, I reported my HORRENDOUS hair cut, or maiming as I like to call it, from Getfunkd Manners!
Well, here are some pics of it! In actual fact, the photos don't do the haircut justice - you can't see the uneven ends, the wedges of ridiculously hacked layers and the blunt "unblending" (my technical term).
I could live with the colour-fail (due to re-dying) but the layers have made my hair super thin :(
Now this is hilarious!!!! I didn't get shown the back of my hair at the salon - you can see why!! Is this dip-dye?! NO!!! |
Here you can see the blunt layers, the line of the bleaching and more blunt layers |
90% of my hair ends around that line. Then 10% look like crappy hair extensions underneath. |
Nice!! |
I hate my face in this photo - but I hate the haircut even more!! |
This is the hair when I've blow dried it with my usual Denman brush - a mess! I have to straighten the heck out of it now. I never used to need straighteners.
Again, 90% of the hair ends at the line, and with the natural wave bounces up - and the long bits just stay straggly and straight. |
My attempt to show you how thick the wedges are. It's like a wig on top of a mullet! |
I am still having to live with this ridiculous haircut although I have spent another $200 at another salon having it fixed as best as possible.
It is now one colour! But hairbands have become a daily staple due to the huge weft of layers that end at my chin. I'm considering clip in extensions for nights out, but don't know if they well blend in properly. I PROMISE photos of the current state soon!!
:( I hope you got your money back? You could cut your hair a bit shorter so it doesnt look as mullety? I had a shit haircut (not as bad as your tho!) awhile ago and I swear my hair wont grow past a certain length now super fu*ked off...
ReplyDeleteThat color job is just wrong! Was this person a beauty school drop out? Go back to high school haha. Well I cant wait to see the new improved look.
ReplyDeleteOMG!! I feel so sorry for you - they did such a crap job, did you complain?
ReplyDeleteIf you're looking for a decent hairdresser I can recommend mine - her name is Kat and she works at Wildilocks on Cuba Street - she is awesome!!!
I feel your pain!
oh nooooo! that's horrible! And they charged so much for it?! I would've been speechless! Glad you're getting it all sorted out though. Hair grows back, thank goodness:-) Grow, hair, grow! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHonestly, it's not great, but it's not as awful as I pictured. A bit funky/edgy? Yes, there is a DEFINITE mullet quality to it that maybe is supposed to translate into "trendy"??? Not what you wanted and that dye job is SO not professional. However, you have such a pretty face (trueness) that the hair really isn't as noticeable to the passerby as it is to you.
