Off to Auckland! And a winner!

Howdy and happy Good Friday everyone. Here at work we get FIVE WHOLE DAYS OFF (yay!) so the bf and I are flying to Auckland tomorrow evening. I love Auckland and can't wait to go! It's the biggest city in New Zealand and I know a shop there that had some cool beads there last year, so I'll be making a bee-line for that!

The bf and I went to Auckland at Easter last year too - see here and here. :)

Howdy all, happy Tuesday! Yesterday I wore a style I'd wanted to wear for a while, but hadn't found the 'right' top for...well I found the right top on Sunday afternoon! Yay!

What I won! Shoes shoes shoes!

Hi all - TGIF! This week seems to have flown by and all of a sudden it's Friday and I haven't posted since....umm I don't remember, maybe Monday?! Tut tut.

So I have some exciting news to share - I WON SHOES! And not just one pair, but TWO PAIRS! Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@sadiesadiesadie BTW), will think this is old news, haha. But yes, two Fridays in a row I won fabulous shoes.

Here's pair one:

Brand: Kandee. I was VERY excited to win Kandee shoes as I have drooled over them for a year! If you haven't heard of Kandee shoes - check out their website. But BEWARE, it's way too tempting to buy a pair (or two!!).

How I won them: By Tweeting like, 350 times! Yes, seriously! Luckily I can multitask (or should I say, multi-Tweet?!) and I did it whilst working over about three hours. And Mr Kandee chose the winner - ME! YAY. They arrived a week later and are utterly fabulous and came with a gorgeous dust bag, a small packet of popping candy and a fab business card holder. YAY. 

Down side: They are too BIG :( They are my size (37) but way too big. I asked to exchange them but rather unhelpfully they said I was too far away and to try an insole!I'm not keen on the idea of an insole with a peep toe?! So I think I will have to put them on eBay :( So sad.

How I won them: By uploading a crazy shoe photo and poem to the Shoe Connection Facebook page (yes both pairs were won via social media!). I could choose which colour / print I wanted from the store and originally decided to go for the cat print ones (below) which were AMAZE but looked majorly clumpy on the ends of my (clumpy) little legs. So classic black it was!

You can see why I wanted these ones, right?!

Down side: None, except the fact that Wellington has been gloriously sunny since I won them and so I haven't had a chance to wear them yet... :)

Happy Halloween to those of you who are in a later timezone than me! Here it's already 1st November and I've sadly taken down most of my decorations already. I loved looking at all of your costumes and photos - great fun.

Last week I won a Twitter competition by Air New Zealand. I won a t-shirt by Huffer (an NZ designer). It's not my usual style but it'll come in handy for the gym - can't look a gift horse in the mouth after all! Air NZ are a really 'cool' airline and in the five times the bf and I have flown back to the UK, we've chosen to fly with them. They have a Twitter account called "AirNZFairy" and the fairy runs competitions and offers, it's a great social media tool. The fairy sent me my prize!

A quickie: I'm excited!

Hi all, a quick break from my road trip pics today! I have the pics of my glacier hike (aka worst day ever!!) for tomorrow. But you may recall I mentioned that I'd won a $75 USD voucher for Shopbop from Aprilia's blog....well I FINALLY spent it today! It has been itching in my mailbox for almost a week!!!

After uhhhmmmming and ahhhhhing for a week, here's the baby I ordered:

And....I'm back!!

Hi all, I have missed you ALL!!! I didn't get onto the internet other than ONCE when I was away, so as you can imagine I had severe withdrawal symptoms!!!

So after 9 days road-tripping in the South Island, I am back and shattered! And have work tomorrow!

We DID get our flights cancelled last Monday due to snow, so changed them and flew to a place called Nelson and hired another car to drive down to Christchurch where we picked up our original car. Busy times!!

This is the small plane that took us to Nelson - teeny weeny!!!

The green goddess we hired for the trip - crammed full of snowboards and suitcases!!

I drank WAY too many of these to keep warm (my excuse) so need to hit the gym tomorrow!

And survived some pretty freezing temperatures!

I will start uploading some proper pics of my trip tomorrow. Our friend from the Bahamas is still here, and is currently visiting an out of hours doctor with a really bad throat - cold weather eh!!

 

I was VERY excited to learn yesterday that I won Aprilia's giveaway!!!! I have a $75 voucher for Shopbop.com and think i will finally treat myself to a new watch for my collection!!

Sunday Crafternoon and Giveaway Winner!!!!

Hello, I meant to post the crafternoon photos yesterday but I misplaced my camera cord - whoops! On Sunday three friends from work came to my house and we had an afternoon of drinking tea, eating cakes and crafting! I wish I could do this EVERY Sunday! I made mini cupcakes the day before (I was having a night out on Saturday and thought it best to be prepared in case of hangover!) and even though I am not a pro-baker, I thoroughly enjoyed letting loose with the glitter icing (as you can see!).

I enjoyed the opportunity to use part of my teacup collection!
