Shh By Sadie on Once'It

Hi all, I MADE IT HOME! Yay! I don't recommend these 37 hour journeys to anyone. You get on the plane fresh as a daisy and disembark looking like a hobo! It's good to be home though.

I'm just writing a quick post today to say I WILL be blogging from Wales. AND my Shh By Sadie jewellery is for sale on 'invite only' site Once'It tomorrow!! A limited number of pieces will be for sale at discounted prices. This is one of the things that kept me frantically busy last week before I left NZ.

To access the sale, use this link (and feel free to share it!)

The end of a weekend in Noosa (and the lime blazer again!)

Hi all! Well you all had a peek of the lime blazer that I bought in Brisbane. I love it THAT much that I had to wear it out again on our last night in Noosa. :)

We went for a fantastic meal (and cocktails!) at bistro c, which was right on the beach. Fun!

My new lime blazer - you can't really see much else of the outfit in these pics so I wont bother listing them
Blazer, Dissh.

I wore my extensions again....
In the evening they blend pretty well. I've not worn them in daylight yet!

Before dinner we took a stroll to the backpackers that I'd stayed in last time. We didn't go in as I'm pretty sure we'd have looked out of place!
This was where we ate!
Right on the beach!

We had a lovely meal - go to bistro c if you're ever in Noosa!
Here's a sneak peek of one of the pairs of earrings I bought in Brisbane.
Skull earrings, Lovisa; Sunglasses, O'Neill.

And before we knew it it was time to head back to the airport. BOO!

I want: pink(ish) bags!

Hi all! How is your week going?
I am back from my break in Oz - I love Australia! It was a great break and I have pics to post later this week.

I have been catching up with your blogs, and every time I see the fabulous Francessca of Don't Call Me Fashion Blogger with THIS amazing handbag, I get handbag envy!

She always has the most fabulous shoes, bags, clothes - everything, but you probably know, that my favourite colour is coral. So this Proenza Schouler satchel is a winner for me!

It inspired me to have a nose around the internet for other leather coral bags yesterday and I found these two favourites:

Foley + Corinna Mid City Tote in coral leather.
This one folds over and has a cross body strap. Very handy. Love it. I found it here on endless.com. They also do a studded version - here.

Oryany Handbags Tinsley SatchelI
I know, I know, this isn't coral! But I still love it. And it would be so fabulous for work! It's also at endless.com.

What do you think? Do you ever get handbag envy?

Weekend Snapshots

Hi all, as you may know, I'm a big fan of Instagram (you can find me @sadiesadiesadie). Because of my addiction to this app I find myself snapping pics of pretty much everything I do!

Here are a few snaps of what I've been up to over the weekend, including attending the launch of Matchbox Studios on my lonesome!....
I brunched alone! The bf pretty much always makes breakfast / brunch on Saturdays but he was in Auckland, so despite waiting for my breakfast to arrive, by midday (yep, for reals, I was one lazy mare!) I was hungry enough to make my own ;)
PS how good is George Foreman  - grilled mushrooms are such a treat and all you need is a splash of balsamic vinegar!
I got my craft on. I made this necklace for myself with the plan of wearing it that night at the gallery launch I attended - alone!! - due to the bf being outta town. I did meet up with him afterwards when he came straight to town from the airport to meet me :)
The skull is huge! And the beads I bought whilst in Gay Paree

I wore this sick-as vintage jacket thing over a vest and leather-look leggings. I didn't wear the new necklace in the end!
I picked the jacket up a couple of weeks ago along with another vintage blazer that is yet to be collected from the dry cleaner - oops.

A sneak peek of some of the new designs I worked on over the weekend. I <3 them and have already decided to keep two for myself!
Chocolate nails matched the frosty weather we've been having.
I found this on the bench at the bus stop. A thimble! Really?!?!
And these are the accessories I ended up wearing - instead of the gigantor skull I'd made especially for the occasion. Ah well, I'm a fickle lady :)
Faux fur snood, ASOS thanks to my Mum; Vintage clutch, Recycle Boutique; Necklaces both Shh By Sadie :)
Have you ever attended an event alone? How'd it go?

Weekend Market

Hi all! I know, I know - it's been SO long since I've posted. It's been a bit insane! And each time I go to write a post I realise I need to take a photo of something or other, and then never get time to actually DO that.

So I thought I'd update you on the market I attended on Saturday. It was a great afternoon and some of my new designs went down a treat (which is always good!)...

These necklaces pretty much sold straight away :)

One of my new designs - the pink cross necklace.
Sweet Swallow necklaces and a combination of flower and GNOME rings. Yes GNOMES! Bit mad eh?!?!
Blurry pic - soz!
Illustration anchor charms and skull and cross bracelets.
Button and flower earrings
MY NEW DELIGHTS! OMG I am so obsessed with these ponies right now!
They had grown women cooing over them so it's good to know it's not just me that has a carousel pony fetish! ahahahahah.
I went for a small table this time (big ones were fully booked) but I think I had much better success with a small table as it's less distracting. Any comments?? :)
What did you do on Saturday?

Splashing out on shoes

Hi all, thanks for your comments on my last two nightmarish posts!! What a WEEK!

Well I have been looking for some new black shoes that I can wear to work and also wear to drinks and other such exciting things as one occasionally attends. So I trawled the web today and finally found some beauties!

I bought these two pairs from Endless.com (I had to severely narrow it down. But hey, I might be back!!)

Leather shoe boots by Messeca (here)

Leather platforms by Jessica Simpson (here)
They also come in a gorgeous nude, but I need black shoes, not nude shoes.

Endless.com do pretty quick delivery (and FREE) to NZ so they should be within my little mitts very soon! Yay!

What have you bought lately?

What I wore: splashes of pink

Howdy all, happy Tuesday! Yesterday I wore a style I'd wanted to wear for a while, but hadn't found the 'right' top for...well I found the right top on Sunday afternoon! Yay!

The top says "Live your life in colour" so I added several bright pink accessories. They don't call me Pink Princess Sadie at work for nothing! ;)
Blazer, Matalan; T-shirt, Cotton On; Skirt, H&M; Leggings, Glassons
Watch, Michael Kors via Shopbop; Skull bracelets all Shh By Sadie
Ring, H&M
Pink flower earrings, Shh By Sadie
Close up!! I like to think my fellow bloggers and I live colourfully, right?!?!

This is one of my favourite necklaces that I have made. Skulls and neons! Double yay!
Skull necklace, Shh By Sadie

Wedges, Jeffrey Campbell

So obviously my favourite colours are pink and coral - what's your favourite fashion colour?

What I wore: to an impromptu black tie awards ceremony

Hi all! TFIF! I'm sure you all hear me there!!

On Wednesday afternoon the bf rang me to say we'd been invited to a black tie dinner at 6.30pm that day - flights had been delayed due to the bad weather here in NZ and so they needed bums on seats at the awards being hosted by the university we both work for.

Sir Graham Henry was honoured at the awards - that was news for me to tell my rugby mad father!
On one hand I thought, well that's nice - a chance to wine and dine and get spruced up.

But on the other hand I thought - I have nothing to wear (I am either too chubby at the moment to wear some of my clothes or have left the dressier of my items in Wales as I don't tend to wear them much here!!),
will I get stuck sat on my own whilst the bf has to schmooze as part of his job,
and how the heck am I meant to stick to Weight Watchers at a three course meal!?

In the end I made the decision to just go with it and loosen up a bit! (I've become a bit hermit like lately - do you ever get like that!?).

And so I rushed home and pulled this dress from a ziplock storage bag I'd left on the floor of my closet.

I also must apologise for the photos. It's something I the bf and I had words about!! He needs to help me get better pics rather than just snapping 5 awful ones and thinking the job's done! Ha!

Dress, Max; Tights, Primark; Sandals, Matalan
Yeah my eyes are closed but the bf only took pants photos so this one was one of the best!!

At the end of the night after several glasses of vino!
Sequin blazer, New Look
Clutch, Bracher Emden London via TK Maxx

This was the only (bad) shot of the detail on my silk dress. And half an earring. Disappointing!
And these are awful snaps too. I need to get a new bf ;P

Rings, gifted; antique diamante bracelet, thrifted; Tiffany charm bracelet; beaded bracelet Shh By Sadie
