A fortnight of big sales!

Hi all, as I mentioned yesterday, I went to the monthly Mighty Mighty Market on Saturday. It was a bit of a stress for me because this was the first time I was setting up without the bf to help me - not only did I have the tonne of jewellery and props to carry, I also needed to find somewhere to park as you can only park for 2 hours at a time in the city.

Anyway, I sorted it all out and it turns out that this was my best market ever! I sold twice the value of my previous 'best' market!! And had a couple of glasses of vino with my friends who kept me company on the day :)

Here are some photos:

These are some of my new pieces - I hand draw the image, colour it in and shrink it in the oven!

These are hand drawn and coloured by me also!

This is another hand drawn little friend!
New colourful bib necklaces made from recycled fabric.

These were the biggest sellers on the day.....
I made these skull necklaces at midnight on Friday and sold four of them the following day!! I have just ONE left, in purple, until my new skull beads arrive :D

ALSO I have MORE news! Last Sunday I had a meeting with a lady who owns a gallery here in Wellington - she was really enthusiastic about my jewellery and bought 25 pieces on the spot and ordered another 12 to be delivered to her tomorrow!
So now my jewellery is stocked at the White Room Gallery in Island Bay - whoop whoop :D

So it's a super exciting time right now! :)

Little travel tip - I take my earrings in money bags to stop them tangling! It doesn't look glam but it does a great job!
And so all of that bling fits in these two bags!
Sunglasses...
I have a large collection of sunnies, but I narrowed it down to just four pairs...

Top: Replay, Ralph Lauren
Bottom: Glassons, gift from the bf

So you can see I don't travel light! I figure that I have all of these things, so why miss an opportunity to use them!? :)

What sorts of things do you take on holidays?

Keeping Active!

Hi all, thanks for all of your kind comments yesterday - the sad news I've had is that my Grancha is in hospital in Wales. He had three heart attacks last week and it's been up and down with his recovery, so it's been difficult being so far away from home. I am praying that he hangs on until I go back to Wales in November :)

So now that we are in spring here in NZ, the bf and I have been trying to get out and about a bit more! We've recently started playing badminton (something which I haven't done for over three years!).

NB: that  is not me, just a girl who played on our court previously!

Yes, looking LESS than glamorous here, but I had just finished a LONG day at work! ;)
The best use I could find for the raquets!! hahaha
We played again last night, and despite being hit on the head twice and the nose once, apparently I am improving!

On Sunday we went clay pigeon shooting!! I have wanted to do this for AGES! We each had ten shots, and I actually managed to shoot TWO clay pigeons! Whoop!
Gorgeous day for it!

The bf with the rifle

He did well and hit quite a lot of his clays
Me "Erm this gun is actually really heavy!"

The guy was really nice and gave me tips

Did I get it?!
We also had a go at the pistol target practice. This was less fun!
I'd hit the leaves of the trees in the forest!
Trying again...

My sheet
The bf's sheet. He had a bullseye (which he enjoyed showing off about!)
We had a couple of goes at the archery, but it really hurt my fingertips and chipped SEVERAL nails (I know!) so I had enough of that, thanks very much!

Have you ever been clay pigeon shooting?! What are your hobbies?
