Tag Me - Tag You

Hi all, something a bit different today! I was tagged by Tasha at Tasha's Treasure Trove a couple of weeks ago and have finally sat down to follow it. I like these kinds of posts, they're always interesting to nosy people like myself!
So here are the rules for the people I tag -

1. You must post 11 random things about yourself
2. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post
3. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer
4. Go to their blog and tell them you've tagged them
5. No stuff about "you're tagged if you're reading this" - legitimately tag people
So as this is quite a long 'tag' I will keep the 11 random facts short and sweet.
1. I don't know what colour eyes I have. Either hazel or green. I'm weird huh?!

2. I met Sir Ian McKellen last year (at a charity cricket event). And didn't know he was gay! Hahahaha.

3. When I was small I told my mum I wanted to work in the Spar.

4. There is an embarrassing amount of dogs with the name Sadie.

5.My favorite flower is a daffodil (can you tell I'm Welsh?). And in the first year of dating, the bf bought me 200 daffodils. Twice. :)
6. I love cheese. Feta and halloumi are my favourites.

7.  I have never watched Labyrinth. Nor Top Gun.

8. I want to find a salon in Wellington that does reallllly cool nail art. Not like the art I had done in London recently.

9. I sometimes wish they did vegetarian Big Macs.

10. My favourite city in the world is New York. I saw them filming Ugly Betty there on my trip and couldn't BELIEVE it!. I *heart* Betty!

11. I own more pairs of shoes than I'd ever be able to count.

Here are Tasha's questions
1. What is your favourite animal and why?
A bird, because I am obsessed with them! Probably a hummingbird or a sparrow are my favs.

2. When you wake up in the morning what is the first thing that goes through your mind?
What time is it?

My dad standing at the top of the school yard when I was four, to collect me so that I could see my newborn youngest sister, Alice, for the first time!
5. Favourite sweet or candy?
Difficult as a lot of candy isn't veggie! So Galaxy chocolate - I miss that from the UK!

Several - pop mainly though.
8. What was your dream career as a child?

2 days till my birthday!

Howdy doodly all, how was your weekend? We had a lot of sunshine here in Wellington so I made the most of it! And also had a mani / pedi too which was very relaxing. Well I went to upload some of my Paris pics from my camera and it's out of batteries - so while I wait for it to charge, I will share some news with you.

It's my birthday this week!! YAY! I am not one of those people who shy away from birthdays in the fear of getting older - I LOVE them!
Here's what I did last year...
I woke up to the most amazing bird balloons ever (you all know my love of birds!) and presents arranged by the bf :)

Opened them all in bed
The bf bought me a Peter Alexander sleep mask - I'm one of those people who CAN'T sleep without one! So annoying!
This sneakster had also arranged a surprise afternoon of croquet and a bbq!
And a fancy bday cake :)
Then we all dashed off home to beautify ourselves for a night on the town!

I was encouraged to do shots....
And felt like this for a while afterwards!! Hahahahaha

So on Thursday I turn 29! Now you know my age, how old will you be this year? :)

Week of crazies 1: NZ is rugby mad!

Hi all - OMG what a week! I can't believe it's been so long since I last blogged and I am SORRY!! Last week was as crazy as the week before, and so I am going to split things up into small 'crazy' chunks!

The worst thing is that amongst all the busy-ness I managed to come down with the cold that colleagues at work have had, and so I've been feeling like BLEEP and not sleeping well either. Pah!
I papped these crazy fools as I drove past them in my taxi on the way to the stadium! I love the crazy costumes people wear!
So - WALES made it through to the Rugby World Cup semi-finals!! Whoop! As I have told you before, I normally hate sport, it bores me. But with it happening in our own back yard, it's been hard not to feel patriotic when you see a Welsh flag flying! And so last weekend the bf took me to see Tonga v France in the stadium. It was good fun but I didn't care who won, so I was a bit like 'whatever'. He promised me then that if Wales got through to the quarter finals in Wellington he'd take me - and what do you know, he had to cough up 800 bucks for tickets this Saturday!!!
Yes that's my granny hand!! :)
VERY WINDY! Nearly lost me flag!
A grey Wellington day! And look at the cruise ship docked just next to the stadium! Amazing!
My massive sign. That took a LOT of colouring in!
A sea of green rugby fans!! We Welsh were in the minority!
This Irishman was HILARIOUS! He looked like an evil leprechaun and kept trying to work the crowd up. When he shouted 'Ireland' to make the crowd chant, I shouted "WALES" back at him. He wasn't happy! Better watch my back...
The stadium was mainly full of Irish fans, and I felt quite in the minority! I had also spent 90 minutes that afternoon colouring in two signs in the hope of getting on camera so that my friends and family could see me in Wales. Alas, despite bopping people on the head (including myself!!) because of the Wellington wind, there was no shot of me and my mahoosive sign on tv. Nevermind!

Do you follow sport?

Days Three, Four and Five in Feejee

Hi all, how was your weekend? It's been rugby world cup madness here and I have even joined in by buying a Welsh flag for our car! And I don't even care about rugby! I just had to do it!

So back to Fiji!
The boyfriend's first dive. I sat and sunbathed (well, in the shade!) while he went for a beach dive.
My sister Beth bought me my flamingo top!

Nice view huh!

Have you ever read this book? I have a few pages left (it was a 1000 page book!) but it's AMAZING.
LOVE. IT
.

I bought this hat and kaftan for my holiday to the same island last year. I carried the hat BY HAND all the way from the UK to NZ so that it didn't get squashed. And it had only cost ONE POUND in the sale in Primark!!
Kaftan, Matalan; Hat, Primark; Flip flops, Haviana (gift from bf); Bag, Primark; Sunnies, Replay.

The bf won a whole$10 FJD playing happy hour bingo!! WHOOP! ;)
The bingo lady was sooo funny. I loved 5pm bingo time!

Shh by Sadie Jewellery ;)

Dress, Cotton On.

Bag, The Body Shop (GWP); Primark Starfish ring; Bangles, Primark and New York; Ring, Lanzarote; Shoes, Hannahs.

What is your favourite holiday read?

New to blogging and craft meetings in ONE DAY!

So this is my first blog and first post and very first venture out into the big wide world - ooooh scary!!

Sadie *hearts* beaches!
I've been thinking about starting a blog for a wee while, and so had a peek at what some other girls were doing, and became totally inspired!

I contacted Little Miss Momma after reading her incredible blog and was amazed to receive a wonderful response just a few hours later! She encouraged me to "go for it" and so here goes......!!

As with most bloggers, I'm a tad scared of embarrassing myself online, but even more scared of sinking beneath the depth of the countless other blogs out there. I hope to learn as I go and make new friends in this blogosphere.

And so back to my first post:

Today I am very excited....I am not only starting my first blog, but I am also attending my FIRST CRAFT MEETING!! Woo hoo!

I've been living in New Zealand for almost 2 years (more about that at another point!) and have only just got around to joining this craft group. So I am hoping to meet some lovely, inspiring, crafty ladies and have a good ol' time. Hopefully I'll have something crafty and interesting to report back tomorrow.

I'm going to keep my first post short and sweet, and so will leave it there.

Ciao ciao! x
