What I Wore: A Tent

Hi there!!How's your week been? I have had ANOTHER cold this week and so have been taking it easy.

Here's an outfit I wore a week or two ago. The bf and I had been back from the UK for three days and to further fend off jetlag (we didn't get it - YAY!) we went for a drive and an impromptu bite to eat at a 'fancy' Mexican restaurant after work.

My tent: at least I haven't hidden in black huh!?
Tunic (tent) Vero Moda; leggings, Primark; Shoes; New Look.

This jacket looked a lot nicer in the mirror :)
Jacket, Matalan
Showing you a peek of my new bright lippy!
Necklaces: Shortest (orange and pink beads) given to my mum from my nan, and given to me from my mum!
White necklace, DIYed by moi; Long necklace, Diva.
Bling: Orange ring, Shh By Sadie; Gold ring, found in my old bedroom at home;
Watch, Michael Kors; Beaded bracelet, Shh By Sadie; Gold bangle, Hay Luv.
Chipped nails, model's own ;p

My neck attire. I rattled when I walked. This happens a lot.
La eateria :)
I had to take this necklace off. My neck ACHED after wearing so much bling all day!!
Do you ever have that problem!?

After three months of wining and dining, I am rather happy wearing tents at the moment, and aim to emerge from my clothing-cocoons in a month or two, looking a little more svelte!!
NOTE: Obviously, Mexican restaurants DO NOT help me with this plan, hahaha :)

Do you ever need to cut down on the calories? What are your best tips? :)

I'm a celebrity - get me outta here!!

Hey all! Well you probably haven't heard, but last night Wellington had a (minor) earthquake, it was off the coast of the south island but boy did I pee my pants!! I've experienced quakes in Christchurch last Christmas but never in my own home! So needless to say I am glad to be getting out of the country today!

I am currently sat in the business lounge at Auckland airport, sipping bubbles in celebration of being granted an upgrade. NOT a free one, before you ask HOW, but one using my airpoints. They're still like magic dust to come by, so I'm pretty chuffed and hope it'll make the next 26 hours of flying a little nicer!

So here's one of the new purchases I mentioned last time: the sickest shoes i've ever owned. So bad they're amazing. These shots were taken after a very long day: waking at 6am with a sickness bug, doing a market 12-5, packing my suitcases and then having the shock of the quake! So excuse the tiredness :)

What I wore: New red jacket!!

Hi all, I wore this outfit to dinner last week with the bf. With how busy we both are lately I feel as though we haven't seen each other, so it was nice to go out for a spontaneous dinner. (It was also useful because we ate at The Tasting Rooms which are sponsoring my event, so I dropped some posters off at the same time. Multi-tasking all the way!)
Jacket, Glassons, Tunic, TK Maxx, Leggings, Glassons.
Earrings, Diva.

Watch, Michael Kors, Ring, Topshop, Bangle, Primark.
Nail varnish, OPI

Bag, TK Maxx, Shoes, Next

Close up of the hair 'do' - I'd plaited the front of it :)

Well this morning I have already received around 15 emails from women wanting to submit clothing into the auction next Weds. The deadline was two days ago but the event was picked up on a really popular Wellington 'what's on' newsletter so word has spread like wildfire. O.M.G! I have had very little sleep already this week and can't believe how busy I let myself get! My friends and I are all heading away for the weekend straight from work, (most of us are catching the train too!) - one of us is driving a car load of the clothes down so that we can sort and tag them this weekend. Busy times. Just 5 days till the big night though!!

What are your weekend plans?

New in: Hot pink Zara blazer

Howdy! Yay for Friday! It's Friday night here and I've just spent a few hours catching up with friends in town. I also popped into a dept store on the way to meet them and bought a new turquoise nail varnish - I will share that with you another time!

I've been keen to find a bright pink blazer for a while but as NZ's been in winter, there wasn't anything quite like this in the stores here. I almost bought one in Dotti, but it wasn't worth the $100 price tag. In the end I picked this Zara one up on eBay for a mere 30 pounds, including p&p! It arrived yesterday and I had to wear it to work that day - they don't call me Pink Princess for nothing!!

Blazer, Zara; Trousers, TK Maxx, Shoes; Number One Shoes; Watch, Michael Kors

Earrings: Shh By Sadie
Flamingo top, gift from my sister; Parrot ring, Diva; Black ring, Topshop.

I'm also going to wear this top and blazer tomorrow for the craft fair as the pink and flamingos will go very well with my branding! :D

What are your weekend plans??

New In: Sadie's been shopping (a lot!)

Hi all, how was your weekend? Hope you all had a great time! I had a fun weekend and have some SHOPPING to show you!

As I mentioned, I'm going to Fiji in 10 days, so wanted to get some cheapish new clothes to take with me. I find that year on year I have taken the same dresses to Miami and the Bahamas in 2008, Samoa 2009, Fiji and the Whitsundays in 2010 and was determined not to do it this year! I don't get the chance to wear these types of clothes other than on a tropical holiday, which is why they've come with me each year. So I bought a couple of newbies to mix in with the trusty oldies!

So here are the new holiday clothes!
A beach top that was a total bargain - $8!

I love this dress, it was $16 and is such a cute holiday dress! It's a thick cotton so is really stiff and lovely :D

Another top - this one buttons up the front and has a drawstring around the waist. LOVE the colours. Also $7
A fairly plain blue dress but it looked really nice on. I thought I can also get use out of this in every day life! $40

The bf when he saw me buying this top - "Not MORE animal print!" HA! $20
A playsuit which I envisage with high wedges! $35
Love the wooden buttons!
A super long maxi dress which will NEED high wedges!! $60

This dress looks really elegant, and I can wear it to work when the temperature gets a bit warmer! $50

A lot of new clothes to squeeze into my wardrobe!
I told myself I DID NOT need sandals. I have tonnes of sandals from last summer. But when the bf was busy in one shop, I went a-wandering and spotted these fabulously sick glitter numbers and sadly couldn't leave without them. I've even already worn them on Saturday night!!
Do you love them!? $100
I bought the exact same wedge last summer, in cream and rope. They are SO comfy.
ALSO new in, but not holiday related:
Genuine pearl drop earrings. Very exciting!!
Some jumbo heated rollers - any tips on use?? I've never tried them before!

My fabulous Michael Kors watch! I used the voucher that I won on Aprilia's blog towards this beaut!
Lots of new stuff - eek. What have you bought lately? :)
