Happy Mr B-day!

Hello and happy new year! Today is also happy birthday to the bf! I have renamed it Mr B-day in honour of him, haha.

Mr B :)
The weather is DIRE here and he's had to go to Bristol for work this morning and I've been awake most of the night with a darned sore throat (boo). However, we are slipping off to the fancy hotel in Newport later for a swim, spa, dinner and a night at the lodge. So I hope he enjoys his birthday! It was also my sister's birthday on December 29th - I feel sorry for them both having birthdays so close to Christmas and the new year, but they must still make the most of them eh!! :)

PS I am also having a week's "January sale" with 25% off at my Etsy store using the code "January"! :)

Merry Christmas Eve!

Hi all, I just wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas! It's been almost three weeks since I came back to Wales and time has been flying by. I've not had a chance to come online much so here's a peek at what I've been doing lately...

Getting festive with the family - and Mum's wonky Christmas tree - bless it!!

Spending LOTS of time with my little niece who is VERY excited about Santa!! (And her two aunties being home for Christmas of course - she came running in the house yesterday morning shouting "AUNTIES AUNTIES!" So cute.)
One of the four angels my niece and I made for her tree. She loves making things as much as I do! :)

I've been picking up some cheap bits and pieces for my holiday to Mauritius in January :)

Wrapping looooads of presents - I must say I am very happy with my wrapping paper selection this year, festive birds! Love it!

Some of the jewellery bargains I've treated myself to....

I've switched back to my wintery OPI nail colours to suit the season too!
I've bought (and worn) this new Topshop jacket and Primark vest.
And been wearing my new LBDs too! (Left, Portmans; right, Trelise Cooper).

Hope you've been having a very merry time too and wish you all the best for your Christmas festivities. Thanks for your kind friendship this year, I've really enjoyed it.

What I Want for Christmas!

Hi all, how's your week going? Tonight I am going to stay at the bf's house and then we're going to do a spot of Christmas shopping tomorrow. I am feeling quite shopped out! I have been shopping a LOT this week and have most of my presents sorted - yay.

What is on your Christmas wish list? I have struggled to think of what I want as I have to consider suitcase room to carry it back to NZ in Feb! What I did spy in Liberty's on Tuesday was this fabulous DIY needlepoint clutch bag. I've never tried needlepoint before but imagine if I can sew it shouldn't be TOO hard (am I kidding myself?!!?) LOL. It's by designer Felicity Hall and I quite fell in love with several of the designs. They're
£69.95 each.

Which one is your favourite? :)

A 24 jaunt in London!

Hey folks! So as I mentioned, on Monday my sister Beth and I went to London for one night! We just wanted a little trip there for a poke around and to see some of the festivities. We didn't buy much (we weren't there for shopping) but I did discover Liberty's of London and LOVED the mock-Tudor mansion that the store is housed in.

Here are a few snaps of our mini-trip:

What I wore: to a cake and karaoke party!

Hi all! How's it going? We're officially in December now and SUMMER actually began today in New Zealand! Whoop! Though in FOUR days I will be "leeeaving on a jet plane" to spend two and half months back in Wales!

Time has been flying by - with markets, parties, birthdays, Christmas parties and events and one whole Sunday afternoon lounging in the hot tub at a friend's house (THAT was pretty sweet!!). The weather has been fantastic (on the whole) so it's been very strange packing Uggs and jumpers into my suitcase!

On Saturday (after a busy day at a market, which i'd irresponsibly turned up to after 5 hours sleep and with a hangover!!) I went to my friend's birthday 'cake and karaoke' party.

Here's what I wore, including the amazing new necklace I bought myself at the market that day. I <3 it!
Shirt, Dotti; Playsuit, Cotton On; Leggings, Glassons; Shoes, Siren; Bag, Witchery.
Earrings, Diva; Necklace, Craft Me Up.

Blurrrry eyes. Nice.

I looove this little guy! He is hand painted ceramic by an 'old man in Thailand' apparently and there are only two of them in NZ! I snapped him up IMMEDIATELY :)

His little hand painted face!! Super cute!

Ring, Primark; Watch, Michael Kors; Skull bracelet, Shh By Sadie; Gold bangle, Hay Luv.
Shoes, Siren.
I've been buying some treats for my holidays as well as some (ahem) essential things such as a new Marc Jacobs laptop bag which arrived today. I just hope it fits my laptop cos I didn't measure it first! EEK!

Will post pics tomorrow! How have YOU started December?? :)

Mid Winter Christmas Party

Hi all, on Friday I went to a "mid-winter Christmas party" at my friend's house. For us ex-pats in the Southern Hemisphere winter is a very strange time. We're used to holidays like Halloween, Guy Fawke's and Christmas to break the cold months up, but here in New Zealand winter is just WINTER

So it's common for ex-pats to have a mid-winter Christmas, and as we like any excuse for a party, we jumped on the band wagon!
So I have three outfit shots - excuse the poor quality, my camera is too fancy for its own good and neither I nor the bf know how to use it :( Stupid camera!

Trousers, Valley Girl, Shoes, Zara; Blouse, Primark; Faux Fur Jacket, Tempt; Leather gloves, Primark.

Yes, that's right, I am wearing TROUSERS!! Wow!! I bought them last week as I am fed up of always wearing dresses!
My friend had borrowed chairs and tables from work to accommodate us all!

A token tree!
$5 secret santas :D

She had made us crakers from SCRATCH and printed out funny faces of the boys
And nice ones of the girls!

My fab secret santa prize - I do love a cup of tea!!
Now I can't wait for the REAL Christmas!!
